| WILMA KIRK-LEE received her Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) from California State University, Sacramento with a concentration in Family and Children. She obtained her Master's of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Prior to receiving her formal education, Mrs. Lee had been active in community and school projects that dealt with families. Currently, Mrs. Lee is the Executive Director for CFW. She also does consulting for Head Start Region VI. She has served as Chairperson of Behavioral Sciences and Fine Arts at Shorter College, a HBCU operated by the AME church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She has developed curricula in the area of families and social work at her institution. She has also developed an audio-visual presentation "Growing Up, Young, Black and Female." She has done presentations for groups and families throughout the country and Canada. She has a handbook for families which will be published in shortly. |
